El Rancho de Apache Mesa is a 1400 acre deeded ranch with a 160 acre BLM parcel in the middle of the ranch! Its a very scenic ranch with mesa top pastures, cedar & pinon covered arroyos and deep ponderosa canyons. Its been used as a cow calf and a horse operation in the past, perimeter is mostly fenced and you'll find 5 stock tanks, one with a solar subsurface pump. Lots of feed on the ranch, hasn't been grazed for 10 years! The Headquarters site is a solar site, power comes from solar panel banks! It powers the barn, bunkhouse, bath house & water well. There is a good well at the Hq site and another good well just south of the Hq. The Hq site boasts a fairly new 5 stall red barn w/apartment built in 2018. The apartment has a bedroom upstairs & bath & kitchen on the main floor & a sauna!! The old stone school house next door has been turned into a one room bunk house that has running water. Owners trained horses here and sponsored cross country trail rides and used the bunk house as a show office! Owners built a rock bath house next to her bunkhouse that has a lion's foot bath tub and commode. Its heated too... She built a small native rock office not far from the horse barn. About a half mile north is a large metal equipment storage building which has a water well. Terrain on this ranch is varied as is a ~160 acre grazing bench off the NE corner. There are several springs in the bottom of the canyons & another spring in an area just below the Hq site. Grasses are predominately native grammas, sacatone, side oats, etc. Tree cover is juniper, pinon and lots of ponderosa pine. The ranch should carry 35 a.u.'s year round easily! Wildlife abounds w/bear, deer, big cats and reports of elk on the ranch this past winter. No hunt permits exist but could be applied for! Its location is end of the road on the east side of Apache Mesa which makes it a quiet and private location. Its one of a kind...
